Dubai Seeks 5000 More India-UAE Plane Seats For Better Connectivity With Goa, Coimbatore, And More

In a move that might prove fatal for Indian airlines, Dubai has increased pressure on the Indian government to boost seats between the two nations by an additional 50,000 weekly. In addition, the UAE requests that Amritsar, Tiruchirapalli, Coimbatore, Kannur, Goa, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, and Pune available to airlines as new places of call by India. 

The Most Lucrative Routes For The UAE Carriers

In a letter to Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Director-General of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority Mohammed A Ahli requested India to let Amritsar, Tiruchirapalli, Coimbatore, Kannur, Goa, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, and Pune to become additional places of call for airlines. These would rank among the most profitable routes for UAE airlines if allowed.

It should be no surprise that Indian airlines oppose adding extra seats for Gulf carriers. Emirates, the UAE’s flag carrier, already operates several profitable routes between India and the UAE.

Keen Interest To Serve Other Secondary Cities In India From Dubai
