1. MLB Players To Be A Part Of Dubai-Based League

Recently, it was revealed that 29 of the first 32 picks had previously played in Major League Baseball, which includes former all-stars Bartolo Colon and Robinson Cano. And they will now be a part of Dubai-based Baseball United. Not to mention, the inaugural draft was dominated by former players from MLB with 91% for the first four rounds. As it happens, out of the 80 total players drafted, 56 were originally drafted by MLB teams! Now, 44 of the drafted players team will be competing in Baseball United’s All-Star Showcase, which is set to happen next month in the Emirates.

2. Dubai RTA Is Celebrating Public Transport Day

Dubai RTA started off the celebrations of 14th Public Transport Day on October 25, Wednesday. This celebration will go on till November 8 and this year, the theme is ‘Gym On The Go. With the event demonstrating the authority’s commitment to promoting public health and physical fitness, the aim is to encourage people to use public transport. Not to mention, the Public Transport Transport Day on November 1 will also coincide with the Dubai RTA’s, 18th anniversary celebrations! Moreover, it also coincides with the Dubai Fitness Challenge!

3. Dubai To Host 12th Speciality Food Festival

From November 7 to 9, the Dubai World Trade Centre will be hosting the 12th edition of the Speciality Food Festival. This is the only dedicated gourmet and fine food trade show in the MENA region! With the event offering a range of premium and niche products, visitors will be able to know about the latest news and emerging trends in this industry. Not to mention, it will be focusing on six core teams that are as follows – Vegan and Plant Based, Horeca & Food Service, Speciality Beverage, Health and Wellness, Artisan & Gourmet, Organic, and Free-From.

4. Emirates Partnership Enhanced With Batik Air Malaysia

Emirates took to its account on X (formerly Twitter) to announce that it has entered into a partnership with Batic Air, Malaysia. With this partnership, it will be offering passengers better connectivity to Southeast Asia. So, the customers will get access to five domestic Malaysian cities and three regional Southeast Asia points that are operated by the airlines through the Kuala Lumpur International Airport. So, through the agreement, Emirates will place its code on the airline, operative flights to the cities of Penang, Kuching, Kota Kinabalu, Langkawi, Johor Bahru, Denpasar, Jakarta and Singapore, thereby offering a seamless travel experience.

5. You Can Win Upto 1 M nol Plus For Frequently Using Public Transport

Loyal commuters of public transport are in for a treat! Yes, they stand a chance to win 1 million nol Plus points for their frequent use of the transport in Dubai. As part of the 14th Public Transport Day celebration, the Dubai RTA will reward the most frequent users of public transport over the last five years. This includes Dubai Metro, tram, buses, marine transport, and more. For this, participants will have to register on the RTA’s website by creating an RTA user ID and linking the nol card to qualify. The top three of the most frequent riders will receive rewards that can range from anywhere from 2,50,000 to 1 million nol Plus points.
