Global Village is the world’s first entertainment destination to successfully complete a Safety Audit by the British Safety Council and also achieve a five-star grading. The park completed the audit in January this year. The council conducted an in-depth analysis of the park’s safety features, policies and procedures, after which a report was drafted. The analysis also included interviews with managers, stakeholders, employees and sampling of operational procedures.

The results were then measured against the council’s health and safety indicators. Global Village passed in the first attempt, setting yet another world record for Dubai.

Bader Anwahi, CEO of Global Village, said: “Our prioritisation of health and safety, which is part of our core value of ‘Care’, is the cornerstone of our operations. We thank the British Safety Council for their role in this achievement and also our Global Village family for their efforts in maintaining the highest standards and benchmarks.”

What Else?

With truckloads of shopping, food, and adventure rides, Global Village is one attraction that has only garnered more love with time. Plus, the village now has a gorgeous Floating Market, taking to the quaint, picturesque streets of Thailand. The canal, by the Far East Asia pavilion, is now dedicated to floating stalls, decked with lip-smacking Thai food. From mango treats to pad Thai noodles and steaming hot dumplings, Global Village now has a brand new address for Thai Food lovers. The market has decorated boats, bank-side kiosks, and Tuk-Tuksstocked with Thai food, reflecting Thailand’s vibrant culture and tradition.
