Dubai’s biggest shopping fest, the Global Village is all set to be back for its 24th edition. The entertainment-packed theme park will open doors on October 29, 2019 and run until April 4, 2020.

Its that time of the year again, Dubai! The region’s favourite and the biggest shopping fest, the Global Village is all set for its 24th edition. Starting 29 October 2019, Global Village fans can gear up to hover around food stalls and shop from across the world, while in Dubai.
Last year’s season kicked off on October 30, 2018 and saw a whopping seven million visitors. In fact, the event was such a grand success, that organisers extended it by a week, altering the closing date to be April 13. Commenting about last year’s event, Bader Anwahi, Chief Executive Officer of Global Village said, “We continue to remain in-step with changes in the entertainment industry as well as the tastes and preferences of our guests as we contemporise our core offering that encompasses shopping, dining, entertainment and fun-fair.”
During the fest, guests can savour delicacies from over 160 restaurants, shop across 27 shopping pavilions and enjoy thrilling rides at the carnival. Last year’s even also saw hi-voltage performances from R&B superstars Jay Sean and Jason Derulo. We can’t wait for this year’s line up!
What Else?
A safety audit was conducted by the British Safety Council in January this year, and Global Village was given a five-star rating. The audit involved an in-depth analysis of the park’s safety features, policies and procedures. The analysis also included interviews with managers, stakeholders, employees and sampling of operational procedures.
The results were then measured against the council’s health and safety indicators. Global Village passed in the first attempt, setting yet another world record for Dubai.
