At the 30th annual World Travel Awards Gala ceremony, which happened in Dubai last week saw the Dubai International Airport being named as the world’s leading airport. As a result, it has solidified its position as a global leader in the aviation industry. Not to mention, the award also reflects its hard work and dedication towards servicing the large crowds of people transitioning from the airport on a daily basis. Additionally, it also shows the dedication of the entire team of the DXB and the exceptional performance of the airport over the past 12 months. This also includes the guest experience, customer service, state-of-the-art facilities, technologies, and overall airport experience, which together allow it to take the leading position.

At this point, it is worth mentioning that DXB has welcomed 64.5 million guests in the first nine months of the year while also maintaining service quality and ensuring a seamless and enjoyable guest experience. As a result, it has surpassed its 2019 level of traffic with these record-high numbers. As such, the World Travel Awards is globally recognised as the most prestigious comprehensive and sought-after award programmes. Not to mention, it has also been voted on by travel and tourism professionals worldwide, which landed them in the top spot.

Not to mention, the Dubai International Airport is managed by Dubai Airports, which aims to balance the interests of all stakeholders. They also manage the DWC and help in improving customer experience while maintaining a sustainable business. At this point, it should be mentioned that this isn’t the first time DXB has come on top of such recognitions. Not too long ago, it was named the number one airport for international passenger traffic for the ninth year in a row, as the annual traffic of passengers in 2022 was 66 million.
