A few months after the inaugural, Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena has become one of the iconic spots in the city. As of today,  famous artists like Russell Peters, Ar Rahman, Westlife and many others have graced the grand arena. Recently, we also heard that the iconic 90s R&B boyband Boyz II Men will perform a gig on Thursday December 19. Well, that’s not all! British songstress Ellie Goulding will also perform a gig at Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena in January 2020.

What’s It?

British pop star Ellie Goulding will be performing at the Coca Cola Arena on 10 January 2020. Previously, the singer performed as part of Dubai Music Week back in 2015. The singer is known for her electrifying performance and fans can expect a stellar performance next month.

And if you’re up for some rib-tickling laughter, comedian Jo Koy will be in Dubai for a gig in January 2020. 

Ellie Goulding released her debut extended play, An Introduction to Ellie Goulding in July 2009. Following this, she released her debut studio album, Lights, in 2010, which grabbed the number one spot on the UK Albums Chart and also sold over 850,000 copies in the United Kingdom. In December 2015, Ellie earned a Grammy Award nomination for Love Me like You Do. 

Ellie Goulding has also covered Joni Mitchell’s River for Amazon Prime for Christmas 2019. And when she takes stage in January, fans can expect hits like Starry Eyed, Anything Could Happen and Still Falling for You. There will also be a few recent releases including Flux, Sixteen and Hate Me.

What Else?

Later that month the famous Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi will perform in the UAE for the first time. Famous Someone You Loved singer will get the crowd roaring and grooving to his tunes at Sharjah’s Al Majaz Amphitheatre on January 17.

This year, the singer made headlines with Someone You Love, which is a hit across Europe, Asia and Australia. The song also bagged the top spot for seven weeks on the UK Singles Chart. Following this, in May 2019 Capaldi released his debut album, which became the best selling album over the last five years.

Capaldi is also known to be one of the first singers to both announce and sell out an arena tour even before the release of his debut album.

At the Sharjah gig this January, fans can expect hits from some of his best albums including Bruises, Hold Me While You Wait and Grace.
