During peak travel periods, Emirates advises passengers to plan for potential traffic delays approaching the airport and longer queues at immigration. To ensure stress-free travel, Emirates recommends:
- Arriving at the airport 3 hours before departure
- Clearing immigration at least 1.5 hours before departure
- Reaching the correct boarding gate 1 hour before departure

- Home Check-In: Book at least 24 hours before your flight, and an agent will complete the check-in process at your home, hotel, or office.
- Mobile App and Website: Check-in online, download boarding passes, manage flights, and more, all from the Emirates app or website.
- Early Bag Drop: Drop off luggage the night before departure or up to 24 hours early at the airport.
Remote Check-In Locations
For added convenience, Emirates offers remote check-in services at:
DIFC: Check in at Emirates City Check-in and Travel Store in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) from 8 am to 10 pm daily.
Ajman Central Bus Terminal: Available 24 hours a day for passengers in the northern Emirates.
Pre-Order Duty-Free Shopping
Passengers can also pre-order duty-free items online up to 40 hours before their flight, with delivery directly to their seat onboard.
