Golf is often defined as a club and ball sport and a leisurely one at that, which is generally played by the elite. While this is not always the case, it is certainly a sport that is coveted amongst the affluent sections of society. And it’s no secret that UAE also has several brilliantly designed and crisp golf courses that draw in golfers from around the world. And it seems that the Emirates Golf Club has made it to one of the most searched golfing destinations in the world according to a particular study. Here’s all about it.

Recently, a new study by Galvin Green, a brand that deals in high-tech golf apparel revealed that Emirates Golf Club and Abu Dhabi Golf Course were among the most searched for in the world. And this hardly comes as a surprise as Abu Dhabi is pretty famous for being home to several golf courses. Coming back to the study, the Abu Dhabi Golf Club snagged the seventh spot on the list as it had 8,675 Instagram hashtags and a monthly average search volume of 5,000. However, the Emirates Golf Club ended up securing fourth place on this list! In case you’re wondering about the first spot, it was taken by Augusta National in Georgia, USA. According to the study, this golf course had 1,07,119 Instagram hashtags and a monthly average search volume of 54,050.

What About The Top 10?

In case you’re wondering about the result, they reached this list by going through Google Keyword Planner and Instagram data. And by combining 12 common search items related to golf clubs, they were able to compile this list. Here’s a look at the top 10 searched destinations across the world.

  2. TPC Sawgrass, Florida
  3. St Andrews Golf Course, St Andrews
  4. Emirates Golf Club, Dubai
  5. Pebble Beach Golf Links, Califonia
  6. Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, Bandon
  7. Abu Dhabi Golf Club, Abu Dhabi
  8. Turnberry, Turnberry
  9. Pinehurst, Pinehurst
  10. Torrey Pines, California

However, it’s not the first time that the UAE has performed well on a particular list. Recently, Dubai ended up leaving cities like Sydney, Milan, Rome, and even Berlin behind in terms of traffic flow on the TomTom Traffic Index, 2022.
