Eurowings, A Budget Airline Of Lufthansa Has Begun Its First UAE Route To Dubai

It was recently announced that Eurowings, which is the budget flyover for the Lufthansa Group has launched two new routes to the UAE this week. This is big news, as it is the first time that the German carrier has begun its routes to the UAE. And with the inauguration of the new routes, the cities of Berlin and Stuttgart have been connected to Dubai.

For the first time ever, Eurowings has launched two new routes to the UAE. With the launch of the inaugural routes, it’s worth mentioning that Eurowings will be the sole operator on the aforementioned routes. We say this because Emirates does not fly to the two cities of Berlin (BER) and Stuttgart (STR). Although it has expressed interest in serving the German capital, this has not happened yet. As it happens, the airline will operate the A320neo on all six flights. Yes, this includes four weekly flights from Berlin and two weekly flights from Stuttgart.

What About The Schedule?

In case you’re wondering about the flight schedule, then take a look at the following –

  • Flight number EW1150, which will operate on BER – DXB will depart from the former at 7:10 AM and will reach the airport at 4:30 PM. This route will be open on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday and the block time is expected to be at 6 hours 20 minutes.
  • Flight number EW1151 will operate between DXB and BER. For this, the departure will be at 6 PM (from DXB) and the arrival will be at 10 PM with the block time being seven hours. On this route, the frequency will be on Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday.
  • Flight number EW1152 will be operating between STR and DXB with the departure being at 7 AM (from STR) and arrival being at 4:30 PM. With the time being 6 hours 30 minutes, the frequency will be on Thursday and Sunday.
  • Flight number EW1153 will operate between DXB and STR. For this, the aircraft will depart at 6 PM (from DXB) and arrive at 10:05 PM. Making the block time at 7 hours and 5 minutes with the frequency being on Wednesday and Saturday.

Emirates Doesn’t Operate On The Cities Of Stuttgart & Berlin

It’s worth mentioning that this development comes at a time when Eurowings also hopes to tap into the growing tourism market in both countries. As Dubai’s popularity as a winter sun destination has grown abundantly over the last few years, the country is expected to break its pre-pandemic record this year. At this point, it’s worth mentioning that the Dubai-based airline, Emirates operates four destinations in Germany. Yes, the present roots include Frankfurt, Munich, Düsseldorf, and Hamburg.
