It’s no secret that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is introducing exciting new mega projects one after the other. Not too long ago, we told you about Leyja, an upcoming region in the megaproject of NEOM. And now, there is another new project coming up in the region of the kingdom! Yes, it is in line with Vision 2030, and for this purpose, a new company, Ardara has been launched by the Public Investment Fund. They will be developing their flagship destination, AlWadi in the Aseer region. Here’s all you need to know about this one-of-a-kind urban lifestyle destination project.

Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Launches AlWadi In Aseer

Recently, His Highness Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz, who is the Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Public Investment Fund launched ARDARA. The project aims to develop AlWadi, as a first-of-its-kind urban lifestyle destination for local and international tourists. Moreover, it is being developed by keeping Vision 2030 in mind, and the destination is expected to span 2.5 million square meters.

What Are The Exciting Highlights Of This Upcoming Megaproject?

With the aim of adopting architectural styles and character inspired by heritage and the unique character of the region, this destination will adhere to global sustainability standards. Not to mention, the project area will dedicated 30% of its area to green and open spaces and there will be approximately 16 km of waterfront. Additionally, there will be 17 km of walking and cycling tracks along with cultural activities and community gatherings.

Offering something for everyone, AlWadi will boast five distinctive districts with 2,000 residence options. Also, there will be luxury apartments, hotel accommodations, office areas, modern villas, and even commercial spaces. And all of this will be designed to honour the identity of the region.

What Is Ardara?

Coming to Ardara, it aims to provide investment and partnership opportunities for local and international investors. And these extend to a range of sectors, which include art, culture, food, agriculture, and even hospitality. With the aim of strengthening partnerships with the private sector. So, the launch of Ardara coincides with the strategy of PIF to unlock the capabilities of several promising sectors. And the flagship destination is expected to contribute about SAR19 billion to the country’s non-oil GDP by 2030! As a result, it’s not surprising that it will end up creating thousands of jobs for the local communities in the region.

We certainly can’t wait for the development plans of this flagship destination by Ardara to be completed, as it’s going to be nothing short of spectacular.
