If you’re seeking experimental food, drinks, and a beautiful view, it would be tough to find a better option than Mitra!

What Is It?

Tucked away on the banks of Dubai’s historic creek, Mitra Bistro is a contemporary take on the most-loved Indian delicacies. If you’re visiting Al Seef (the heart of the city), then be sure to stop by Mitra and you will be pleased that you did. This hidden gem is spread over two levels, has an indoor seating area (which btw, is totally instagrammable) as well as an outdoor area offering the best view of the creek. The menu is Indian-fusion and will win over even those who usually don’t like Indian cuisine. It’s a great spot for couples, families, and friends looking for an affordable way to dine on exceptional Indian food.

The name Mitra (means friend in Sanskrit) and the decor (stunning chandelier tree with birds hanging from the ceiling) was inspired by the memories of where friends met. As for the food, there is a sharing menu to try all the little bites and plates together. Founders Shivam Goyal and Shipra Khurana say, “With the strong belief that a shared meal binds and connects people together, MITRA it is bound to ignite some childhood memories while taking our diners through an interactive and unconventional gastronomic journey.”

What’s On The Menu?

The kitchen serves everything from classic favorites to experimental modern Indian as well as Middle-Eastern delights. The thrill of the menu, which features dishes such as Limca Bhel, Chicken Kulfi, Kebab Boat, Luxury Money Bag and Butter Chicken Softy makes Mitra an excellent spot for a relaxed sharing meal with friends. Also, did we mention they have a mithai (dessert) fidget platter? We totally understand if you don’t want to share this one ;)

What Else?

If you aren’t in the mood for food, the bar upstairs whips up cocktails with an Indian twist. Yes! Mitra is also a ‘licensed‘ floating restaurant serving wine, beer, and cocktails together with shisha. What’s more? A DJ who plays his own tracks!
