The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has introduced a new initiative to make international travel more convenient for passengers using the New Delhi and Shivaji Stadium metro stations on the Airport Express Line. In collaboration with Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), Air India, and Vistara Airlines, DMRC now offers a ‘Check-in & Baggage-Drop’ service for international travellers.

New Check-In Service For International Flights At Delhi Metro Stations

Previously available only to domestic passengers, this service now extends to international passengers flying with Air India and Vistara Airlines. Passengers can check in their luggage at designated metro stations and have it securely transported to the aircraft, reducing the hassle of carrying bags through the airport.

Passengers can avoid long queues and the stress of managing luggage at the airport. The check-in process at the metro stations is quick and efficient. With baggage already checked in, passengers can move through the airport more easily.

Check-in Locations:

  • New Delhi Metro Station: Airline check-in counters are at the concourse level.
  • Shivaji Stadium Metro Station: Check-in counters are near the VFS Global Office at the concourse level.

Operating Hours:

  • Air India: 6 am to 9 pm at both New Delhi and Shivaji Stadium metro stations.
  • Vistara Airlines: 6 am to 8 pm at New Delhi metro station.

Check-in Timeframe:

  • International Flights: Check-in between 4 hours and 3 hours before departure.
