With Ramadan around the corner, DXB and DWC airports are giving away free Iftar boxes for all passengers. The box is said to contain water, dates, tea bags, wafers and a tasbih.

What’s It?

Dubai is gearing up for Ramadan and restaurants in the city are planning their Iftars in full swing. That aside, Dubai airport authorities are also doing a little something to make this Ramadan special for those traveling. Hop into Dubai or Maktoum International airport during Ramadan, and take away a free Iftar box.  

Dubai based consumer players Carrefour and Alokozay are giving away over 100,000 boxes throughout Ramadan. All passengers driving in to DXB and DWC can collect the boxes after 6:30 pm everyday.

The Iftar box will contain water, dates, tea bags, wafers and a tasbih. That aside, it is also said that airport authorities will be distributing over 100kg of dates at DXB this Ramadan.

Ramadan in Dubai is expected to start on 5 May and run until 4 June. In case you didn’t know, drinking or eating in public is strictly prohibited during Ramadan. So, watch out.
