Indian Travellers Can Use UPI In France Soon

Both India and France have made an agreement in France for the starting of using the UPI payment mechanism. With this, all the Indian tourists visiting this beautiful European nation will be able to make their payments in Rupees by using UPI. This process will be starting from the Eiffel Tower in France, as announced by PM Modi.

During the programme hosted in La Seine Musicale, PM Modi also emphasised how digital platforms can introduce a social transformation in the country. He also announced that both India and France are also working together to bring such a transformation. Modi Ji also talked about how digital infrastructure can strengthen the partnership between India and France.

46 per cent of the entire world’s real-time digital transaction takes place in India. Modi Ji also asked the attendees to visit India without a single penny in their pockets. With just the UPI application on their mobile phones, they can explore the entire country without using any cash.

French President Hosted PM Modi During His 2-Day Visit

Modi Ji took to his social media to share some glimpses of his interaction with French President Emmanuel Macron and Mrs. Macron. They hosted PM Modi at the Élysée Palace on Thursday evening.

French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne welcomed him after he landed at the airport on 13 July.
