From An Auto Driver In Mumbai To India’s Beloved Comedian, Raju Srivastav Will Be Thoroughly Missed

India loses one of its finest comedians as Raju Srivastav who passed away in Delhi at the age of 58 on September 21. Raju or “Gajodhar Bhaiya”, has been a household name since India got its first stand-up comedy show, ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’. Srivastav was admitted to AIIMS Delhi on August 10 after experiencing chest pain and collapsing while working out at the gym. The Comedian took his last breath on Wednesday, after 41 days of hospitalisation.

Raju Srivastav Once Earned His Living By Driving An Auto Rickshaw

Did you know that Srivastav got a break in the industry through a ride? Well, the path to success is never easy. In his early days in Mumbai, Comedian Raju used to earn his living by driving an auto. It was only after ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’ in 2005, that Raju became a favourite for Indians. The Comedian was excellent on the show. And, he kept proving himself in all his later endeavours. Raju’s comedy instantly brought a big smile to everyone’s faces. No doubt Raju Srivastav was even called the King of Comedy. And India will truly miss its Comedy King!

Comedian Raju Srivastav’s Love For Food

Known for his innate comedic talent, Comedian Raju Srivastav was born in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The Comedian maintained a healthy diet and was a fitness enthusiast. Raju loved eating healthy and his diet mostly included fruits and juices. However, his cheat meals consisted of all kinds of chocolates and ice-creams. The Comedian also loved burgers, mostly from KFC.

Today, India prays for the departed soul. Comedian Raju Shrivastav’s clean comedy will forever be cherished. And India’s ‘Gajodhar bhaiya’ will be greatly missed!
