UAE Visa has seen several new updates since the advanced visa system was introduced in October 2022. Since then, updates have been flowing in at an intervals of a few weeks. Similarly, the latest visa updates have been announced today and the list is huge. 1. 1-Year Visa Extension

Separated, Divorced and Widow women are eligible for a one-year extension if they are currently residing in the UAE on their husband’s visa. The same applies to the offspring on their father’s visa. The extension is only extendable once, does not call for a replacement sponsor, and begins on the date of her husband’s death or divorce.

2. Increased Income Limit To Sponsor Relatives

A foreigner must have enough housing and a stable monthly income in order to sponsor their relatives or the relatives of their wives. A total of 5 people can be sponsored with a monthly income of Dh10,000. It increases to Dh15,000 to bring up to 6 people. The Chairman of the authority will assess the applicant’s fitness if there are more than six people.

3. Lost Passport/ID

If an expat loses their passport, identity card, or both, the decision permits them to enter the UAE and attend the clear criteria within three working days to fulfil the necessary formalities. The foreigners should first notify the loss and submit an entry petition to the UAE via the smart services network. The new ruling also specifies the prerequisites for issuing tourist visas, among them the requirement that the sponsor or host be a tourism-related organization, business, or registered entity in the authorised facility card system and offer a tourism programme.

4. Updated Entry Visa Rules

According to the verdict, entry visas are valid for 60 days after they are issued. It will allow the bearer to stay in the nation in line with the kind of visa they have been awarded. All visit visas enable their owners to enter the UAE either once or more. It all depends on the granting authority. The visa holder is not permitted to remain in the nation for longer than 180 days, though.

5. Visa For Border Ports

At nearby border crossing points with land entry ports, visitors may be given an entry visa valid for 90 days. It’s possible once they qualify these points of verification. Foreigners can visit the country more than once. The requirements are a valid residence visa in the neighbouring border country, being a resident of that country, is not a worker. Each time, however, they may only stay for up to 48 hours at a time. Domestic workers are not permitted in the UAE, regardless of whether they are paid or not, unless they are sponsored by the employer or their family.

6. Cancellation Of Residence Visa

If an individual without claiming the information stays outside the country for more than 180 days then their residence visa would be cancelled. Holders of Golden Visas, Green Visa holders and their families, as well as people who have been given the go-ahead by the director general of Residence and Foreigners Affairs for an exemption due to bona fide reasons and who have paid the required fee, will have their residence permits remain in effect until they expire.
