Over the years, tourists have flocked to Kerala to experience the pleasure of staying in a houseboat. After years, Kerala tourism is all set to launch a new product to cater to tourists-caravans. The first-ever caravan park in Kerala is all set to open on February 25 in the state’s famous hilly region, Idukki. As part of Kerala’s new Caravan Tourism policy, tourist caravans will be launched to offer visitors to the state the experience of exploring Kerala in a caravan or even spending a night in one. Kerala To Open First Caravan Park To Boost Tourism
The next time you visit Kerala’s hill station, Idukki, perch yourself in a cosy caravan at the caravan park there. Kerala will launch caravan parks, with the first one opening in Idukki. These caravan parks will be developed keeping in mind both the safety, security and sanitary requirements of travellers. The customised, attractive vehicles will offer you a house-on-wheels experience with both luxury, travel and stay, combined in one. Kerala Responsible Tourism Mission shall offer Village Life Experience (VLE) packages where you can explore the rustic and stunning environment of God’s Own Country in a luxurious caravan.

Have A House-On-Wheels Experience In Idukki
Caravan tourism will not only help tourists visit untapped destinations of the state, but also offer employment opportunities to local communities. The caravan parks will be equipped with strong fencing, surveillance cameras and other safety preparations. According to a report by Omanorama, there will be two kinds of caravans- for two people and family. The caravans will have a sofa-cum bed, dining table, toilet, internet connectivity, GPS, kitchenette, microwave oven, fridge and more.
