Classic Italian tastes, traditionally authentic and a lovely place to unwind, Fire and Ice is Kolkata’s very own Italian escape.
What Is It?
Fire and Ice is one of the oldest Italian eateries of the city and what introduced many to Italian flavours and authentic Pizzas, pastas and more! The classic and sincere tastes make every Italian foodie of the city, absolutely loyal to Fire and Ice. Did you know that this iconic restaurant was actually founded by an Italian chef from Naples itself?
What’s In It?
Informal vibe, Latin Italian music, imported produce, homemade ingredients (such as their own mozzarella), and great selection of wines and more! Right from its interiors to the menu and the taste, the place screams out classically authentic Italian culture – expect simple dishes but so on point with the flavour that you shall be left obsessed! Loyalists are drawn here from time to time to chill and chat over scrumptious pizzas, indulgent desserts and glasses of red wine (and of course really happy tummies)!

What To Order?
Antipasto (they actually make their own mozzarella and pesto which are to die for), spaghetti carbonara, Aglio Olio (often regarded as the best in the city and I love the addition of the capers), Funghi pizza, chocolate mousse (really just a decadent bowl of pure love), Nutella crepes and the Apple pie. Call for a bottle of wine to go along or the Long Island Iced Tea (popular as the most potent of its kind in the city) if you’re in the mood to go all out!
What Else?
Winner of the best Italian joint in Kolkata and for the ‘best Pizza in Asia’, if you still have not given this place a go – you need to live at least once. It’s the quintessential Italian experience of the city. Brimming with energy and an excited buzz always, Fire and Ice is ideally located in the historical Park Street area to add to that old world charm!
