Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Ghaziabad on Saturday, April 6, which is today. Holding a mega roadshow in this city, there will be heavy deployment of police and security personnel. As a result, several routes are bound to be blocked or may experience some heavy traffic bottlenecks. If you also wish to avoid traffic snarls, make sure to keep these routes in mind and steer clear of them for the day.

It’s worth mentioning that the mega roadshow by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will span from Maliwara Chowk in Naya Ganj to Chaudhary Mod in Gandhi Nagar, Ghaziabad. As it happens, it is expected that more than two lakh people will be attending this road, which is a part of the election campaign. Yes, it’s a part of the campaign for the BJP’s Lok Sabha candidate from the constituency, Atul Garg. As such, a comprehensive security plan has been put in place by the personnel for safety.

Heavy & Commercial Vehicles Restricted On Some Routes

In fact, the Ghaziabad Police already have plans to check every vehicle that passes through the border, according to the traffic advisory. Additionally, movement of heavy and commercial vehicles will also be restricted from 1 PM onwards, on April 6. This will be applicable on certain routes, including –

  • Chaudhary Mod and Lal Kuan
  • Seemapuri and Mohannagar
  • Alt intersection and Meerut Tiraha
  • Atmaram Steel trisection and Diamond trisection
  • Jalnigam T-point and Meerut trisection
  • Vasundhara Bridge and Mohannagar
  • Tulsi Niketan and Karangate roundabout

Restriction On Movement Of Buses

It’s worth mentioning that movement of the public, city buses, or roadways will not be restricted from 2 PM onwards. However, there will be no movement of autos and e-rickshaws after 3 PM in several areas. Moreover, 14 major road stretches in Ghaziabad will not allow the entrance of private two-wheelers and four-wheeler cars. In case you’re wondering about these stretches, they are as follows –

  • Rakesh Marg to Chaudhary Morh
  • Meerut Tiraha U-turn to Hapur Tiraha
  • Ramte Ram Road to Maliwara Chowk
  • Lohia Nagar Tiraha to Old Bus Stand
  • Nandgram Tiraha to Meerut Tiraha
  • Vijaynagar Dhobi Ghat Railway Bridge to Chaudhary Mor
  • RDC Bridge Hapur Chungi Side & Sihani Gate Police Station to Old Bus Stand
  • Ghukna Mode to Meerut Tiraha
  • Siddharth Vihar intersection to Meerut Tiraha
  • Basant Chowk to Maliwara Chowk
  • Ramte Ram Road to Chaudhary Mode/Ghantaghar
  • Gaushala to Dudhevshranath Temple
  • Rotary Roundabout to Hindon River Metro station

It’s worth mentioning that authorities have already made parking arrangements in Nehru Nagar Auditorium. In fact, 6,000 cops have been deployed across the city and it has been declared a drone-free zone.
