“Thappar Khana?” Son Pranks His Punjabi Dad With A Hand-Shaped Roti, Netizens Praise His Guts

Punjabi kids are known for pranking their parents a lot, and it has become a trend on social media. Kids often find funny ways to prank their parents and then record their reactions to share online, leaving netizens laughing in the comments section. Recently, a man named Rege pranked his dad by making a hand-shaped roti and offering it to him while asking, “Thappar Khana?” His dad’s reaction cannot be missed at all!

Pranking your parents is something we all do at some point. But Rege from the United Kingdom recently pranked his Punjabi dad in a way nobody would have imagined. He apparently made a roti and gave it the shape of his hand. He cooked it on both sides on a tawa, poured some ghee on it and then served the roti (chapati) to his dad on a plate while saying, “Thappar Khana”.

His dad, who was surprised to see the hand-shaped roti at first, smiled at the creativity. Rege’s mother, however, could be seen laughing in the background while cooking in the kitchen. Rege also wrote, “How to get disowned by your Punjabi dad” as a text on the video. He also joked that he may have taken “thappar khana” a bit too literally. The video uploaded by Rege (@badandbhajiii) went viral on social media.

Internet Can’t Stop Laughing 

The video, especially the reactions of Rege’s Punjabi dad and mother, left not just us but the entire internet laughing. One user wrote, “Your mum’s laugh has me smiling, and your dad’s face says he’s survived years of chaos,” while another commented, “Mere hath ki roti.” Honestly, that comment made us laugh out loud, too.

A third user commented, “Your dad was gonna one-up you with a jutti,” while another wrote, “Guts.” And honestly, you definitely need a lot of guts to present a hand-shaped roti to your dad and say, “Thappar Khana”. Looks like his dad is already used to these kinds of pranks from his son.
