IRCTC Announces 10-Day Japan Tour
The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has rolled out a 10-day, 9-night Japan tour. The tour will begin on September 6 from Delhi. According to NDTV, it will cover some of Japan’s iconic locations, including Tokyo, Hakone, Hamamatsu, Kyoto, Osaka, Nara and Hiroshima.
If you’re planning to be a part of this tour, here’s the schedule. Travellers will fly from Delhi to Tokyo’s Haneda Airport and return on September 15. According to the itinerary, the group will travel on All Nippon Airways (ANA). The flight will leave Delhi at 6 PM on September 6 and reach Tokyo at 5:55 AM the next day. For the return journey, the flight will depart Haneda Airport at 11:10 AM on September 15 and land in Delhi at 4:30 PM. IRCTC has also said these flight timings are tentative and may change depending on airline operations.

How Much Does The Japan Tour Cost?
The 10-day Japan tour package starts at ₹3,45,999 per person on triple-sharing. If you prefer twin-sharing, the package costs ₹3,49,999, while the single-occupancy package is priced at ₹4,73,999. If you’re travelling with children, the package costs ₹2,92,499 for children aged 5 to 11 years with a bed and ₹2,63,999 for children in the same age group without a bed.
The package covers almost everything you need for the trip. As per NDTV, it includes return economy-class flight tickets, four-star hotel stay, Japan tourist visa charges, daily breakfast, lunch and dinner, airport transfers, sightseeing in air-conditioned coaches, an English-speaking tour guide, travel insurance for passengers below 70 years of age and all applicable taxes.
During this Japan tour in Tokyo, you will visit Asakusa Temple, Nakamise Dori, Ueno Park, Odaiba and TeamLab Planets. Travellers will also visit Mount Fuji’s Fifth Station, if the weather allows. If not, the group will visit Oshino Hakkai instead.
The tour also includes Owakudani Valley, a Hakone Ropeway ride and a sightseeing cruise on the Hakone Pirate Ship. In Nagoya, travellers will explore the Toyota Museum and the SCMAGLEV Railway Museum. In Kyoto, travellers will visit the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, Kinkaku-ji Temple and Fushimi Inari Taisha. Other stops include Osaka Castle, Nara Deer Park, Todai-ji Temple, Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, Miyajima Island and the Itsukushima Shrine. One of the biggest highlights of the trip is a ride on Japan’s famous Shinkansen bullet train from Shin-Osaka to Hiroshima.
For the bookings, travellers must have a passport that is valid for at least six months from the date they return. They will also need to submit the documents, including a PAN card. For the Japan tourist visa, travellers must provide financial and employment-related documents
