After shutting the doors for tourists for months, Goa has finally reopened its doors for travellers. Have you been waiting to chill on the beaches of Goa? You will now be able to do so while following some COVID-19 protocols. The surge in the Delta variant cases has forced the government to impose certain rules and regulations despite reopening the state for tourism again. As per the latest update, people travelling from Kerala to Goa will need to produce a negative RT-PCR report. Also, they will have to undergo a quarantine of five days. Students and employees need to undergo institutional quarantine. Others must follow home quarantine. Earlier, Goa had started welcoming fully vaccinated tourists without COVID-negative reports.
No RT-PCR Report Required For Fully Vaccinated Visitors In Goa Except For Those From Kerala
Previously, Goa was allowing only fully vaccinated tourists with COVID-Negative test reports. Now fully vaccinated visitors, be it tourists or residents, can enter the state without any RT-PCR report, except for those coming from Kerala. Only those who have completed at least 2 weeks after the administration of the 2nd dose will be considered fully vaccinated. Children aged above 2 will need RT-PCR tests. Children below 2 years of age will need to have the test done if they are symptomatic. Asymptomatic children below 2 years of age do not need to get tested. The Goa government is extremely alert and visitors are urged to wear a mask in all public areas including the beaches.
