For Shenzhen Airlines, this isn’t just another route; it’s a first-of-its-kind destination in the Middle East. With Qatar being a major aviation hub, the airline’s Middle Eastern entry comes when Chinese tourism and business interests in the region are booming. His Excellency Cao Xiaolin, the Chinese Ambassador to Qatar, joined Shenzhen Airlines executives in a grand launch ceremony at Hamad International Airport, marking a festive start to this new partnership.
Qatar has seen growing demand for routes to China, and with Shenzhen joining its roster of Chinese destinations, Hamad International now has nine routes to China alone. This solidifies Qatar’s position as a central link in global travel between East and West and opens doors to new opportunities for both countries.
