You are living under a rock if you haven’t heard of Dubai’s famous Cracking Drink yet! This viral beverage has taken over the streets of Dubai and the Internet already. It’s a drink that makes a crackling sound thanks to chocolate coated on in a plastic cup. Read on to know how you can give your beverages a cracking twist.

Digital content creator Neha has a popular Instagram handle @culinarychaser where she posts fun recipes and food reels. This time, she got on the Cracking Drink wagon and shared a fun and easy recipe to prepare this summer cooler. Sold on the street of Dubai for 55 dirhams (₹1250 approx), this drink has finally made its way to desi households. Neha shared a cute recipe for Cracking Mango Rose Latte. Check it out!

Ingredients

  • 200gm of chocolate
  • 1/2 cup of pureed mango
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 2 tbsp of rose syrup
  • Few mango chunks
  • Ice cubes

Method

First, melt the milk chocolate and coat it on the inside of a plastic glass. Drain the excess chocolate and set it in the fridge for just 10 minutes. In the meantime, mix the mango puree, milk and rose syrup in another glass. Then, pour the Mango Rose Latte into the chocolate-coated glass with ice cubes and mango chunks. Now for the fun part! Press the sides of the glass to “crack” the chocolate and sip the refreshing Mango Rose Latte with little chocolate cracklings.

Make This Drink With White, Milk Or Dark Chocolate

You can make this cracking drink with dark chocolate and even white chocolate. All you need to do is melt the chocolate and coat it inside a plastic glass. And of course, refrigerate it for a few minutes. It looks ‘Gram-worthy and adds a playful element to the whole drinking experience. Summer coolers, lattes and milkshakes never looked better! And there is a theatrical element that folks in Dubai absolutely love like the viral Dream Cake.
