IRCTC’s website has made ticket booking in India much more convenient and quicker. Without heading out to stations, one can easily book the same from the comfort of their home. However, if one wishes to book tickets in bulk on IRCTC trains, then the facility is available for two particular trains only —

Bulk Booking In IRCTC Over 50 In Number

As for people, who wish to book tickets in bulk for passengers more than 50 or exceeding 100, they must head to counters which make the bulk booking in significant numbers. Also, there are not many Indian Railways counters that offer bulk bookings. Therefore, average passengers must provide an application with all the passenger details to get bulk bookings done in their respective names. Authorities from the Indian Railways will then take the process forwards, and you can eventually purchase the tickets from the separate bulk booking counter.
