The news of the failure of the Emirates Lunar Mission shattered the entire Emirates. MBRSC took the announcement to Twitter to share a statement stating the same. But guess what? The Ruler of Dubai decided there was no time for crying over failure. Here we present Rashid Rover 2, Emirates 2nd Lunar Mission which will be built again under the guidance of experts at MBRSC. Here are the deets for it.

Rashid 2 Will Be Crafted At MBRSC, Dubai

Right after the announcement of the failed connection between Japanese ispace and lunar spaceship, Dubai Ruler announced part 2. The Ruler of Dubai emphasised the value of perseverance in attaining success in the space industry during his visit to the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre. Although the Rashid Rover lunar landing attempt failed, Sheikh Mohammed said that “we kept our aspirations high” and added that the UAE would continue to undertake additional space exploration projects.

Failure Ain’t An Option For MBRSC

Well, said that Mohammed Bin Rashid was accompanied by the crown prince, Sheikh Hamdan. The Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai stated that the region will continue to contribute continued & advance efforts in the space sector.

By participating in the Emirates Lunar Mission, MBRSC was able to realise its lofty ambition of creating the world’s most compact rover and becoming the first rover from the Arab and Emirati nations to orbit the moon before making an attempt to land on iSpace’s HAKUTO-R lander. These successes demonstrate the UAE’s dedication to developing space exploration and are historic for a country’s maiden lunar mission.

Rashid Rover has a special configuration that allows it to go over and study the Moon’s surface. The Rover is around 10 kilogrammes in weight, 53.5 centimetres long, and about 53.85 centimetres wide, with a height of about 80 centimetres.

MBRSC had invested a lot of their efforts in building it. MBRSC collaborated with four UAE-based organisations and ten international organisations. The cameras & imager on Rashid Rover 1 were created by MBRSC in a joint effort with 40 scientists and researchers.

So we await more updates regarding Rashid 2.
