Disney’s Frozen (2013) is one of its most famous and lucrative of film franchises. Now, Hong Kong’s Disneyland is all set to get the world’s first-ever Frozen-themed amusement park. The theme park will open its doors to the public on November 20. However, those who have an annual pass will get access to the new attraction from October 23 onwards. Here is everything you need to know about this exciting news!

The park, which is named World Of Frozen, among other attractions, will include replicas of locations featured in the movies including Elsa’s iconic Ice Castle. It will also consist of a roller coaster ride which is sleigh-themed. It will even have a boat ride through a winter wonderland!

Disney’s food is famous for being innovative and cute. The World Of Frozen, too, will feature a restaurant offering rustic Nordic cuisine that lets you experience the flavours that characters from Arendelle would have been familiar with!

However, ticket prices may witness a hike. For popular days, tickets for a day will cost HK$879 for people above the age of 12. On other days, it will cost HK$639.

Earlier, a Marvel-themed attraction was also unveiled at Hong Kong’s Disneyland. Combined with The World Of Frozen, the expansion of the park has set the company back $1.4 billion. These efforts can be viewed as a bid to drum up visitors as the happiest place on Earth hasn’t been quite happy.

According to an article recently published by The Times Of India, Hong Kong’s Disneyland has witnessed financial losses for the last eight consecutive years. Last year, it experienced a deficit of HK$2.1 billion! The Hong Kong Disneyland is the world’s smallest and coupled with the impact of COVID-19, business has been bad.

This unveiling of the World Of Frozen is an attempt to drive up visitors. According to the Managing Director of the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, Michael Moriarty, the opening of the Frozen-themed amusement park will elevate it to a global presence. He was also quite optimistic about the prospect of the theme park opening.

After Hong Kong, the multinational conglomerate plans on opening Frozen-themed attractions in many other locations like Tokyo and Paris. And Frozen is not the franchise that will be witnessed in Disneyland. The Shanghai Disneyland is all set to get a Zootopia-themed attraction later in the year.
