RTA Dubai has recently announced Free parking benefits for Emirati citizens. All you need to do is apply for a special permit as per RTA and you can access free parking in designated zones in the Emirates.

Dubai RTA is back with some great news! It has announced the commencement of a new service. If you are an Emirati then you can apply for a permit that allows you to park your vehicle for free. The permit allows you to park anywhere within a 500-metre radius of your home. There are different types of parking permits available on the Dubai RTA’s website namely, Category A & B. The first one allows parking in paid parking zones A, B, C and D and the latter permits free parking in paid parking zones B and D.

How To Apply For This Permit?
Well obtaining a free parking permit in Dubai is as easy as eating cake. Just visit their website, submit the documents and wait for your permit to arrive. Easy peasy ain’t it?
Let’s check out the required documents for the application
1. Emirates ID Copy
2. House/Title Deed Copy
3. Copy of the valid tenancy agreement with the assessment of Ejari
4. Copy of ownership of the registered vehicle
Only citizens residing in the particular areas are eligible to apply for this special permit for free parking. There are no fees liable by Dubai RTA to apply for this permit. Apply for your permit within 5 mins and wait for it to arrive through email. The entire process will take 2 working days as per Dubai RTA.
These sites are exclusive of the areas that allow paid parking permits. The zones namely are Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, Knowledge Village, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, Deira Fish Market, Dubai Silicon Oasis, and Gold Souk.
So carefully analyse the area before you apply for the free parking permit introduced by Dubai RTA.
