Maharashtra FDA Launches AI-Powered Portal For Complaints
The grievance redressal portal launched by the Maharashtra FDA comes with several AI-powered features, including auto-assignment, auto-escalation and built-in accountability with traceability features. According to ETV Bharat, one of the standout features of this platform is that consumers will be able to file complaints simply by speaking, which will automatically generate a structured complaint.
Not just that, users can also either type or speak about their problem in Marathi, Hindi or English. The complaint will then be reviewed with the help of AI before being assigned to a Food Safety Officer. After a proper investigation, action will be taken. The portal also allows complainants to track the status of their complaints online.

Portal Is Part Of Maharashtra FDA’s Food Safety Drive
According to ETV Bharat, the portal was launched by Maharashtra FDA Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe. He has been spearheading a massive crackdown on food safety violations across Maharashtra. In recent days, the FDA has conducted raids on manufacturers, wholesalers, eateries and retailers dealing in everything from milk to sweets, spices, edible oils, meat products and packaged food.
The authorities are taking strict action, including temporarily shutting businesses and suspending the licences of those involved in violations. The launch of this portal is also part of the FDA’s efforts to ensure food safety and protect public health. So, if you notice unsafe food practices anywhere, make sure to file a complaint through this portal.
