This quarantine period due to the coronavirus pandemic is either driving people nuts or is bringing the best out of them. In a rather genius attempt to continue their tradition of date nights, Jeffrey Johnson, an amateur chef, and a doting husband created a quarantine restaurant at home and cooked up a sumptuous feast for his wife. Jealous? We are!
In An Adorable Gesture, Man Cooks Up Quarantine Feast For Wife
Pulling out all the stops for their romantic night at home, Jeffrey Johnson from Minneapolis, Minnesota, took his wife to ‘Quarantine Grill’ and whipped up a three-course quarantine meal for her.
To add a realistic touch to his home restaurant, he created a fancy printed menu and also placed a ‘reserved’ sign on the table. The end of the menu cheekily read, “All dishes prepared by your husband”.
Putting all husbands and boyfriends (rather all significant others) to shame, Jeffrey cooked up a feast for his wife. Jumbo lump crab cake with spicy remoulade sauce was served as the appetizer. For their entree, he made cajun salmon, stuffed with grilled shrimp, asparagus, and parmesan cheese along with two sides of garlic herb mashed potatoes and sautéed collard greens with spicy andouille sausage. And finally, for dessert, he made a strawberry cheesecake topped with fresh strawberries. We’re drooling!
Jeffrey’s Post Has Gone Viral On The Internet
To further add to our resentment, Jeffrey shared pictures of the mouth-watering meal on Twitter, captioning it as, “Took my wife to Quarantine Grill.”
His post has gone viral on the Internet. Thousands of people have commented on his post online, with women mostly asking their husbands to follow suit and cook them this grand meal.
While we may not be as fortunate as Jeffrey’s wife, that lucky girl is definitely getting a second date soon as Jeffrey mentioned that he was “fully stocked up”, and added that “Quarantine grill 2.0 is coming soon.” Aww! We can’t stop gushing!
