Hyderabad’s Hussain Sagar To Get 80-Seater Electric Cruises For An Eco-Friendly Experience

Telangana Tourism will launch two 80-seater eco-friendly cruises in the heart-shaped lake of Hyderabad, Hussain Sagar. According to a Telangana Today report, Tourism Minister V Srinivas Goud has said that these advanced eco-friendly cruises will come with ‘zero-emission and electric twin inboard motors propulsions’. The cruises will have two floors. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking rides on the lake on these cruises and also organise events like birthday parties inside them. Reportedly, the two cruises will come up in six months, which is around June 2021. Hyderabad will also get a gorgeous night bazaar along the banks of Hussain Sagar.

Hyderabad To Get Eco-Friendly Cruises With Zero Emissions

Two 80-seater eco-friendly cruises will come up in Hyderabad by the mid of 2021, that will run on the Hussain Sagar Lake. The cruises will have two floors and they will be equipped with ‘zero-emission and electric twin inboard motors propulsions’. According to a New Indian Express report, the Tourism Minister has stated, “We are setting up the new electronic cruises and boats, which will start operating soon, to attract more tourists.” The Durgam Cheruvu cable bridge and the floating restaurant there have garnered a good response from the visitors. Now the state is planning to add another attraction, the electric cruise boats on Hussain Sagar. Efforts are being taken up to launch solar and electric boats in different water bodies.

The Cruises Will Boost Tourism Of The State

Goud has inspected the conditions of the existing boats and cruise fleet at the boating centre at Hussain Sagar. He has told the officials to renew the fleet with fresh colours and advanced seating. The environmentally friendly cruises will allow tourists to have a joy ride and at the time time, would not cause pollution.
