During a recent episode of Sunday Brunch, our Editor-in-Chief Kamiya Jani had a great time chatting with Vijay Deverakonda, Radhikka Madan and Jasleen Royal at Jasleen’s apartment in Mumbai. While talking with the trio, she asked them how welcoming Mumbai had been to all of them. While Jasleen called Mumbai her home, Radhikka said it was love at first sight for her. Vijay called the city “chill” and how he enjoys staying here.
Vijay Deverakonda On Staying Away From Home & Mumbai
When you’re away from home, the longing to go back strikes at some point. And Vijay Deverakonda is no different. While talking to Kamiya Jani about Mumbai, he said that while Hyderabad is home, he enjoys coming to Mumbai and travelling to Kochi and Chennai for work. Other than the geographical differences, he finds every city quite chilled out. He agrees that because he is a known face, he has privileges and his experiences might differ from other people, and be more real but he enjoys being able to travel around because of work.
Vijay Deverakonda then went on to confess that, “I can stay a month, 40 days without missing home.” However, when it touches the 30 or 40-day mark, he just wants to go back home. He also mentioned that he doesn’t like to travel alone or be alone in general. So, when he is away shooting at a location, he makes sure to bring in his family and friends to keep him company.
“Mumbai Has Its Own Vibe But You Need Your Family,” Feels Radhikka
While Vijay Deverakonda goes in and out of Mumbai for work, the city has become home for Radhikka Madan and Jasleen Royal. So, how has the Ludhiana-born singer liked the city? For her, Mumbai has become home and she can’t imagine staying anywhere else now. As for Radhikka, she fell in love with the City of Dreams as soon as she came here.
Radhikka has been living in Mumbai for 10 years now and she reminisces that the city felt like home from the very first day. While she loves the city and the vibe here, she remembers missing her family and loved ones in her initial days here.
