This year, the monsoon season is proving to be a cause for concern. Whether it be landslides in multiple places or the overflowing River Yamuna, rainfall is becoming a challenge. Several areas in the country experienced heavy rainfall that resulted in waterlogging. Here are the weather updates, including the current condition.

IMD Predicts Rainfall Through August 10 In India!

India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted rainfall in numerous regions in India through August 10. In fact, rainfall in Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh is expected to be light to moderate with isolated periods of heavy rain. Additionally, similar weather is anticipated in Tripura, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh.

IMD predicted similar weather conditions for West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar and Jharkhand through August 8 and August 9, respectively. Additionally, isolated areas of very heavy rainfall are also anticipated over Uttarakhand and east Uttar Pradesh.

These meteorological conditions are also anticipated in Bihar and the sub-Himalayan regions of West Bengal, Sikkim, and Meghalaya. Moreover, the IMD forecasted that on August 8 and August 9, isolated pockets of heavy to very heavy rainfall would fall over Uttarakhand, east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Manipur, and Tripura.

The weather forecast office added that over the next five days, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, and Manipur are also predicted to see mild to moderate rain showers with occasional heavy downpours.

The Current Condition And Weather Updates

On August 7, there is a strong probability of isolated areas of Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, and Bihar experiencing heavy to very heavy rainfall. There is a good chance of significant rainfall in regions of west Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Arunachal Pradesh, and Assam.

On the other hand, it is anticipated that rainfall activity in western and southern India will be moderate over the following five days.

In several parts of India, thunderstorms and lightning have been forecast. The Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura are anticipated to see thunderstorms and lightning.
