Peak snowfall is expected from Saturday night through Monday morning.

Because of the snowfall, light to moderate rainfall is expected in the adjoining plains of Jammu and Kashmir. Thunderstorms are predicted in Himachal Pradesh with light rainfall and squalls in several districts. The affected regions include Kinnaur, Lahaul-Spiti, Shimla, Kangra, Mandi, and Chamba.
