There’s a certain charm to the latest episode of Sunday Brunch with Kamiya Jani, the kind that settles in once the plates arrive and guards drop. This time, the brunch table welcomed Chitrangda Singh. It was a seamless conversation as dishes kept landing, from beetroot carpaccio salad with its earthy bite to burnt garlic chicken, grilled chicken draped in truffle mushroom sauce, a no-nonsense spaghetti aglio e olio, and finally, a brownie with ice cream.
Chitrangda Singh Shares Her Morning Routine
Somewhere between forks clinking and laughter spilling over, Chitrangda spoke about a habit that has stayed with her over the years: starting her mornings with jeera water. She didn’t romanticise it. In fact, she was quick to dismiss any expectations around taste.
“Don’t ask me about how it tastes,” she said, almost wincing. ‘Pleasant’ is not the word she’d use. But effectiveness? That’s where her tone shifted. According to her, the results are undeniable. Healthier hair, stronger nails, clearer skin – benefits she credits to this daily ritual rather than any elaborate beauty routine. It’s not glamorous, but it works, and that honesty made it land harder than any wellness trend.
The mood turned playful when Kamiya Jani jumped in with a quick quip: if jeera water could make her look like Chitrangda, she’d start drinking it the very next morning. The moment dissolved into laughter, the kind that feels very candid, briefly pulling the conversation away from health talk and into something lighter and more human.

You Need To Try Jeera Water, Here’s Why
Chitrangda then added another layer to why she swears by it. Jeera water, she explained, isn’t just about beauty, it has real medicinal value. Rich in vitamin C, it’s something she leans on for immunity. She recalled her frequent trips to Delhi, when sore throats and throat infections were almost routine, triggered by weather shifts and pollution. Since making jeera water a non-negotiable part of her mornings, those issues have reduced noticeably.
When asked how to make it, the answer was refreshingly brief. Boil jeera in water, add a dash of lemon, and that’s it. It has no measurements obsessively noted and no complex steps. Just something that fits into real life.
As the conversation circled back to the food, second helpings of spaghetti, and the brownie slowly melting into its ice cream, it felt fitting. Between yummy plates and easy laughter, the episode quietly made its point: sometimes the most effective habits aren’t flashy or Instagram-ready. They’re simple, slightly bitter, and practised every morning, long before the world wakes up.
