There are pranks, and then there are pranks that make you question every life decision that led you to that exact moment. For Sarthak Sachdeva, one such prank involved McDonald’s, a friend in a PPE kit, a fake food inspection and, eventually, the Crime Branch showing up at his house. Yes, really. In the latest episode of Tere Gully Mein, where we went around Pune with Sarthak trying street food ranging from pocket-friendly bites to a rather bougie ₹800 misal pav, the influencer opened up about this interesting story.

Sarthak Sachdeva’s McDonald’s Prank Started With A PPE Kit

Sarthak Sachdeva and his friend had once decided to pose as food inspectors at a McDonald’s outlet. And they did not exactly phone it in. His friend apparently showed up wearing a full PPE kit, because if you are going to pretend to inspect a restaurant, apparently you might as well commit to the costume.

The duo went into the outlet and started acting like they were there for an inspection. Except, somewhere along the way, the McDonald’s staff figured out that these two were absolutely not who they claimed to be.

But instead of confronting them there and then, one of the staff members followed them.

Sarthak noticed the man behind them as they were heading back home and was understandably confused. Why was this guy still following them?

Then he reached his building. And his watchman called.

“Sir, neeche Crime Branch wale aaye hain.”

That is probably not a sentence any 19-year-old expects to hear after pulling a prank.

The McDonald’s Prank Eventually Cost Sarthak ₹40,000

The whole thing eventually led Sarthak to the police station. But even there, the story somehow managed to become more ridiculous. While he was sitting at the police station dealing with the consequences of pretending to be a food inspector, a girl apparently recognised him and came over to ask for a selfie.

There are probably hundreds of places where Sarthak Sachdeva has been asked for a picture!

Sarthak eventually wanted to close the matter without a formal complaint, and the prank reportedly ended up costing him ₹40,000 fine.

Honestly, you cannot script this stuff.
