For the recent episode of Tere Gully Mein, Curly Tales met Sarthak Sachdeva, a YouTuber and social media influencer in Pune. We visited an iconic 116-year-old misal joint together and also got a recommendation for a parantha place in the city that draws long queues of foodies. Curious to know the name? Read on to find out!

Sarthak Sachdeva Recommends This Parantha Place In Pune

Sarthak Sachdeva, the “King of Challenges and Comparisons”, is a big foodie, and this latest Tere Gully Mein episode proved that! Since he is known for his challenges, we took him to multiple misal places in Pune to find out whether misal is just misal or spending more makes it better. For the first stop, we visited Shri Ganesh Fast Food. Here, Sarthak innocently asked the owner to give him free misal in return for a review. The owner agreed, which made Sarthak really happy!

After that, Sarthak showed us the correct way to eat misal, which makes the dish even more delicious. The YouTuber also revealed that he likes misal and eats it once or twice a week. But he has a special place in his heart for paranthas.

Shahji’s, a place known for Delhi-style paranthas in Pune, is his go-to spot to eat them. According to him, the place always has long queues outside and foodies often have to wait to get their paranthas. The YouTuber apparently likes to eat Paneer and Gobhi Paranthas from this place.

This 116-Year-Old Pune Spot Serves Green Misal

Not just the parantha shop, but Sarthak Sachdeva has also got another recommendation for you. According to him, Blue Nile restaurant in Pune serves some amazing Mutton Biryani. In between bites of misal, he shared that he used to be very shy and introverted during his school days. But during lockdown, he tried making YouTube videos and slowly gained confidence.

We then talked a little more with Sarthak about his journey before taking him to our next misal stop. This one was very special as it was a 116-year-old spot, Vaidya Upahar Gruh in Pune, a place which serves green-coloured misal instead of the typical red gravy.

You would be surprised to know that it is one of the oldest running misal houses in Pune and a spot where freedom fighters once sat to eat. And here, misal is not served with pav but slices of bread! In between conversations, Sarthak opened up about his career, a unique dish he once ate and many other things.
