Exclusive: Raghav Juyal Shares Why Shah Rukh Khan Will Always Be His Inspiration

Raghav Juyal’s latest appearance on Sunday Brunch with Kamiya Jani was packed with mic-drop moments. Joining Kamiya alongside his Bhai Tera Star Hai co-star Niharika NM for a full-blown South Indian feast, the actor ended up giving viewers something far more filling than dosa and filter coffee. 

Why Shah Rukh Khan Remains Raghav Juyal’s Biggest Inspiration

It all began when Kamiya Jani, our Editor-in-Chief, brought up the industry’s never-ending insider versus outsider debate.

Niharika answered first, and she didn’t sugarcoat it. According to her, people who come from influential film families have the luxury of making mistakes publicly. If one film doesn’t work, another opportunity usually comes along. Outsiders, however, don’t always receive that cushion. One failed project, two at the most, and after that, they’re often dismissed before they’ve even had the chance to prove themselves.

Then the mic reached Raghav Juyal, and the energy completely changed. Instead of talking about how unfair the system is, he almost laughed at the idea of being intimidated.

“Main dara hi nahi yaar. Main darta hi nahi.”

‘I Have Failed, Been Broken, Beaten, But I Stood Up’

Then came a line that instantly became the highlight of the episode.

“These sharks cannot scare me because I am the ocean.”

Everyone around the table burst into smiles, but Raghav Juyal wasn’t trying to deliver a punchline. He was explaining how he looks at life. Yes, there are people who enter the industry with influence, connections and surnames that open doors. But audiences don’t care about any of that forever. At some point, every actor has to stand alone in front of viewers. You cannot inherit genuine love from the public, you earn it.

To explain that belief, Raghav Juyal brought up someone he has admired for years, Shah Rukh Khan.

For him, SRK isn’t just Bollywood’s biggest superstar. He’s proof that an outsider can walk into an industry where nobody owes them anything and still build a legacy that millions connect with. 

If you’ve followed Raghav Juyal’s journey, the comparison makes complete sense. He didn’t arrive with a film family behind him. He carved out his own identity through dance, comedy, television, hosting, and eventually films. Every phase looked different. Every success came after people had already placed him inside a box he wasn’t supposed to escape. 

Yet somehow, every time the audience thought they knew what Raghav Juyal was, he reinvented himself again.

That is probably why the final line he shared didn’t sound like a motivational quote copied from the internet. It sounded like someone reading a page from his own life.

“I have failed, been broken, beaten, but I stood up.”

Maybe that’s why his words landed so well. In an industry obsessed with overnight success stories, Raghav Juyal was here to remind all that sometimes the most inspiring journeys are the ones that survive failure instead of avoiding it.
