On an episode of Sunday Brunch with Kamiya Jani, the duo went down memory lane and ended up revisiting what they called their most frequent “fights” while shooting together.

Kajal Aggarwal, who grew up in South Bombay, refused to believe the suburbs could compete. Shreyas Talpade, meanwhile, wasn’t ready to let his side lose without a proper argument. So between shooting schedules, conversations would inevitably shift towards food, neighbourhoods, and why one side of the city was supposedly better than the other.
Naturally, Kajal Aggarwal decided she had the perfect way to settle it.
She told Shreyas that the next time they were filming in South Bombay, she would take him to what she considered the city’s best vada pav. It was supposed to be the ultimate mic-drop moment. Except…it never happened. The shop she had been hyping up so confidently was shut that day. Instead of winning the debate, she was left laughing at the irony, while Shreyas had another reason to tease her.
The conversation didn’t stay in Mumbai for long. It wandered into college memories, and both actors realised how different their younger years had been.

Duo Open Up About Their College Days In Mumbai
Kajal Aggarwal shared that she studied at Jai Hind College. Talking about her junior college days, she admitted that classrooms weren’t where she spent most of her time. She was an Arts student, and according to her, those years were more about enjoying college life than stressing over attendance or assignments. Hanging out outside campus, meeting friends, and making memories took priority, and she said it with complete honesty.
Shreyas Talpade laughed as he compared his own experience. He said he did spend time in college, but not because he was buried in academics. His attention was always pulled towards drama and theatre.
A decades-old Mumbai argument over food, a failed attempt to prove a point with vada pav, and two different college lives somehow came together to paint a picture of a friendship as relatable as it can get.
