What Does The Interior Of Imtiaz Ali’s Office Look Like?
For the Sunday Brunch episode, as soon as Kamiya Jani stepped inside Imtiaz Ali’s office in Andheri, called “Window Seat,” she was awestruck by the interiors. It was definitely not the usual office filled with chairs, desks, and laptops. Instead, the space had a rustic and old-world charm. The walls were not neatly painted, which added to their raw and vintage appeal.
The office has a rustic, urban vibe. One corner featured cups, vintage-style boxes, glasses, a microwave, and more. When Kamiya Jani asked if the look of the office was intentional, the filmmaker jokingly replied, “Nahi, humare paise kam pad gaye the.” He also shared that it didn’t feel right to cover the walls with chuna. The office features old-style wooden furniture and traditional windows with stoppers, adding to its unique character. Interestingly, the office is spread across three floors.

Why Did He Name His Office ‘Window Seat’?
Curious to know the reason behind Imtiaz Ali’s office name, “Window Seat,” we asked him about its meaning. Explaining the name, the filmmaker revealed that a window seat gives you a glimpse into lives that are not your own. The meaning sounded simple, but the emotions and thoughts behind it truly touched our hearts.
As the interview continued, we took a tour of his office and were later joined by actors Vedang Raina and Sharvari. While talking about their careers and travel experiences, we also indulged in some delicious food, including the favourite street snack golgappa and other tempting North Indian dishes.
