Kumar Vishwas Feels Everyone Should Read THESE 2 Books At Least Once In Their Lives

Kumar Vishwas

For the latest episode of Sunday Brunch, we stepped inside the beautiful home of one of India’s most loved poets, Kumar Vishwas. If you have ever watched his performances, you would know that he has a unique way of evoking emotions, spirituality, and deep reflection through his words. While giving our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, a tour of his private library, Kumar Vishwas was asked whether he enjoys writing more or reading, and his answer was truly insightful.

Kumar Vishwas Says He Enjoys Reading

“Mujhe padhne mein zyada maza aata hai (I enjoy reading more),” replied Kumar Vishwas instantly. And in true Kumar Vishwas style, the reasoning behind it was just as beautiful and profound.

“Mera maana hai ki 1000 page padhe bina agar aapne ek line likhi, toh woh line kamzor hogi (I believe that if you write even a single line without reading 1000 pages, that line will be weak),” he said thoughtfully.

Kumar Vishwas further shared that it is extremely important for a creative person to keep reading throughout life. Explaining his point with a simple analogy, he said, “Yeh aise hai ki jaise aapko makaan banana hai par aapke paas cement hi nahi hai (It’s like trying to build a house without having any cement).”

Shares 2 Books Everyone Should Read

Looking at the vast collection of books, a curious Kamiya asked the renowned poet if there were any books he believed everyone should read. Without hesitation, he recommended two books—Shrimad Bhagavad Gita and Ramcharitmanas by Tulsidas.

“Yeh do kitaabein hain, jab mujhe kuch samajh nahi aata toh main zaroor padhta hoon (These are the two books I turn to whenever I feel lost or unable to understand something),” he shared.
