Esha Deol revealed that she has two tattoos, and neither of them was chosen because they just looked good on her skin. For her, tattoos are timestamps. They belong to different versions of herself. Different ages, different phases and yes, they come with different stories. Looking at them now feels a bit like flipping through old diary pages, except these memories happen to be inked permanently on her body.
The first tattoo is a shloka from the Gayatri Mantra. Esha Deol shared that it was the very first mantra she learned as a child. Decades may have passed since then, but its place in her life hasn’t changed. Some things stay with you because they become part of your earliest memories, and for Esha, the Gayatri Mantra is one of those things.
Getting it tattooed wasn’t about making a statement; it was about carrying something meaningful with her wherever she goes.

How Her Tattoos Reflect Different Phases Of Her Journey

Esha explained that the inspiration behind the tattoo came from her father and the lessons she absorbed while growing up. Those teachings stayed with her long after childhood ended.
She even laughed about how each one carries its own kind of craziness, reflecting the mindset she was in when she got it.
Together, the tattoos map out pieces of Esha’s journey: faith learned in childhood, wisdom inherited from her father, and the many versions of herself that existed in between. Some people keep memories in photo albums; Esha Deol wears hers on her back.
