Vedang Raina Almost Scored A Job Before His First Movie Came Along

While many actors say they were all in from the start, Vedang Raina candidly admitted that he did have a Plan B. Vedang Raina Talks About Interviews & MBA Plans

While chatting with Kamiya Jani on an episode of Sunday Brunch by Curly Tales, Vedang Raina revealed that he had planned to pursue an MBA and was even preparing for a job interview before landing his debut film, The Archies. He shared this while responding to a question by our Editor-in-Chief about whether he and Sharvari had ever appeared for a job interview.

Vedang admitted he had come very close to taking that route. He recalled that during the COVID period, he began exploring job placements with the plan of gaining work experience before eventually pursuing an MBA. However, things took a dramatic turn when the audition for The Archies came his way at just the right time.

Despite considering a corporate path, Vedang clarified that acting was always the goal. “It was a case of landing something. Uss samay toh kuch hua nahi tha, 2 saal se audition kar raha tha, bas kuch 1-2 advertisements here and there–bas yeah hi chal raha tha. So, if that movie didn’t happen, I would have very well been on my way to the MBA,” Vedang Raina candidly shared.

Films That Made Vedang & Sharvari Imtiaz Ali Fans

When asked if there was a particular film by Imtiaz Ali that made the young actors fans of the celebrated filmmaker, Vedang Raina was quick to name Rockstar as his favourite, while Sharvari picked Jab We Met. “I think Rockstar really cemented that for me because I had musical aspirations also. So, to see Jordan on stage and perform, as a teenager, that excited me. And when I saw the movie years later again, I saw it from a different perspective,” Vedang Raina shared.
