Bengaluru Brewery Under Fire For 2.5 Hr Waiting Despite ₹2,000 Cover Charge, On Valentine’s Day

What was meant to be a special celebration and night out turned into hours of waiting, ruined moods, and disappointment for many in Bengaluru this Valentine’s Day. Despite paying a hefty cover charge and booking reservations in advance at Bengaluru’s Tropika Brewing Co., several people claimed they were left without tables and offered no refunds. The brewery has since come under fire for allegedly making hundreds wait on February 14, leaving many with a ruined evening.

Tropika In Bengaluru Slammed For Valentine’s Day Mismanagement

Taking to social media, several netizens have criticised Tropika Brewing Co. for making guests wait for over 2.5 hours on Valentine’s Day despite prior reservations and a ₹2,000 cover charge. The brewery, known for its expansive 1,500-seat capacity, was allegedly overbooked on February 14, leaving many stranded outside even after paying the hefty entry fee.

Visuals circulating online show long queues stretching outside the venue, with people waiting for their turn. In other clips, guests can be seen confronting the establishment’s management, seeking clarity after hours of waiting despite having paid in advance.

Netizens Wonder Why The Tables Were Booked Beyond Capacity

Several netizens took to social media to share their experiences and videos of the place on Valentine’s Day. On his Instagram post, Akshay Kumawat (@aks_is_1) shared about this experience and how hundreds of people were waiting to get a seat at the establishment. “Scams seem to be the latest trend in Bangalore hospitality,” he added in his post.

Another netizen, @womanofdreams__ shared her experience at Tropika in Bengaluru on February 14. She shared that despite making a reservation on February 1, like hundreds of others, she was left waiting outside. She added that many of them were waiting for their tables for 2-3 hours. “If you don’t have the capacity, don’t take bookings! But they did and did not even refund the amount of several people who kept waiting for their turn,” she shared in her post.
