Bengaluru Engineer Builds Robot That Makes Dosa
A Bengaluru engineer took to Reddit (@Pitiful_Somewhere_81) to introduce the world to his new robot–Thindy, who can cook dosas. He posted this video with the caption, “I’ve been working on a personal project for the last few months here in Bengaluru – a robot named Thindy that can make dosas automatically. It pours the batter, spreads it evenly, and cooks it just right. The idea came from watching my family cook and thinking – What if a robot could do this while we relax?”
In the video, we can see Thindy pouring the batter on a hot tawa. While the shape of the dosa wasn’t round, it still impressed netizens. The robot then added ghee to the dosa and carefully removed it from the tawa once it was cooked properly. In the caption, the engineer also mentioned that the robot can also cook crispy dosas–just as we love them.
