Man Uses Odisha Heatwave To Cook Eggs In His Terrace; Netizens: “Tell Me Tawa Is Not Preheated”

Odisha is currently experiencing intense heatwave conditions along with hot and humid weather. A man in Sambalpur recently showed how hot it is outside by trying to cook eggs on a frying pan on his balcony, and you won’t believe it, the eggs started cooking!

The intense heatwave-like conditions have caught social media’s attention, but in an unusual way. A man in Sambalpur, Odisha, recently tried to cook eggs under direct sunlight on his balcony, and the clip is now going viral online. While many people believed the heat was strong, others even called it a setup.

The post was shared by @life.is.foodie_. In the video, the man pours oil onto a tawa and places it under direct sunlight. After that, he cracks open two eggs into a glass, whisks them, and pours the mixture onto the heated pan, just like an omelette. Just a few seconds later, the edges of the egg start to cook and fluff up, seemingly proving just how hot it is in Odisha. The man also added a caption that read, “Sambalpur At 44°.”

Heatwave Or Just A Creative Idea? 

The video is going viral. While the man tried to show the intensity of the heatwave in Odisha, some people were still doubtful. One user asked, “Tell me honestly, is it not a preheated tawa?  Another user commented, “Kolkata mein omelette overcooked ho jata.” 

Some comments were quite humorous, too. A few people suggested that the man visit Assam, where some people are still using blankets at night. Another Instagram user sarcastically asked him to cook biryani outside. We do not know whether the eggs were cooked because of the heat or whether the tawa had been preheated. The only thing we know is that the idea behind the viral video was certainly creative!
