Owner Of Rehmatullah Hotel Serves Free Food

While exploring unique stories, we came across Rehman Qureshi, owner of Rehmatullah Hotel near Jama Masjid. What inspired us the most is that since 1948, he and his family have been serving free food to people. They never ask about anyone’s religion or background and simply believe that no one should sleep hungry.

Talking about the reason behind this initiative, Rehman shared that after the India-Pakistan Partition, many people struggled to get food. His father started the hotel, and they open it every morning after the Fajr prayer. As soon as the hotel opens, around 50-60 people are served hot and freshly prepared meals daily. Explaining their belief, he said, “Khana dene wala dharam nahi puchta.”
