Girnar, also known as Revatak Parvata, is a sacred mountain range near Junagadh, Gujarat, that attracts pilgrims and trekkers from across India. Many visitors begin the climb before sunrise, usually between 4 am and 5 am, to avoid the heat and enjoy the calm of the early morning. The journey to the top includes around 10,000 stone steps, making it feel like a spiritual trek as much as a physical one.

About two-thirds of the way up, at roughly 3,000 to 3,500 steps, visitors reach the famous Jain temple complex. These temples are known for their beautiful stone carvings and peaceful atmosphere. The most important shrine here is the Temple of Neminath, built in the 12th century and dedicated to Lord Neminath, the 22nd Jain Tirthankara. Unlike many temples on the route, it remains open throughout the day. Nearby is the Triple Temple of Mallinath, built in 1177 by two brothers, which honours the ninth Tirthankara and draws monks and spiritual leaders during major festivals.

At the top of the 10,000 steps, pilgrims reach the Dattatreya Temple, one of the most sacred sites on Girnar. From here, the views stretch across Junagadh and the surrounding landscape, making the long climb feel truly rewarding.
