Thieves Steal From AC First-Class Coach On Bengaluru SF Express
According to the family, the theft took place while they were sleeping, most likely in the early hours of the morning. A video shared on social media showed that the cabin door had allegedly been broken open, enabling the thieves to enter unnoticed and flee with their belongings.
A fellow passenger who recorded the incident spoke to the woman, who stated that the stolen luggage had ₹1.1 lakh in cash, along with identity documents, important papers and medicines for her baby. The family later discovered some of their documents and personal belongings scattered inside one of the train’s washrooms, while the cash and other valuables remained missing.

Questioning the level of security despite paying for a premium coach, the passenger stated that the main reason for travelling in First Class is the safety of the luggage, the child and the people travelling. But even here, there is no safety, and thefts are taking place.
The woman also expressed her disappointment over the response she claimed to have received from the Railway Protection Force (RPF). According to her, officials reportedly told the family that the theft occurred because they were asleep at the time.

One user commented, “What kind of maintenance is SRC CDO performing? This is a serious lapse in the safety of passengers paying premium fares for First AC travel.”
