In a move aimed at boosting India’s tourism and aviation sectors, Air India has partnered with the Ministry of Tourism through a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Air India & Tourism Ministry Team Up To Boost Tourism

On Monday, Air India and the Union Ministry of Tourism signed a pact to jointly promote India as a leading global tourism destination and strengthen its position as a major aviation and transit hub.

According to The Economic Times, as part of the partnership, the two will work together on co-branded marketing campaigns to showcase India across digital platforms, social media, inflight branding, and other consumer touchpoints.

The collaboration will also focus on promoting Indian destinations, boosting inbound and transit tourism, engaging with the travel trade, and enhancing the overall visitor experience.

By combining Air India’s growing international network with the Ministry’s Incredible India campaign, the partnership aims to attract more international travellers and increase India’s visibility in global tourism markets.

According to Deccan Chronicle, as part of the partnership, Air India and the Ministry of Tourism will also participate in tourism fairs, roadshows, familiarisation trips, and other promotional activities to attract more international travellers. They will work closely with state tourism boards and other stakeholders to spotlight destinations across the country and support tourism-focused initiatives.

Air India currently flies to 40 international destinations across five continents. Backed by 25 codeshare partnerships and over 120 interline agreements, its network connects India to more than 1,000 destinations worldwide. Through this extensive reach, the airline aims to showcase India’s rich heritage, diverse culture, scenic landscapes, and unique travel experiences to a global audience.
